Dingler 2008 New Items Print E-mail:
02/28/2008

dingler-BR02003_DRG-0-190.jpg Dingler GmbH EXKLUSIVE MODELLBAHNEN (Exclusive Model Trains) surprised us during the Nuremberg Toy Fair with a series of new items. In addition to the earlier announced Class 74 and 75 steam locomotives, Dingler showed their awe inspiring perfection by displaying pre-production samples of the Class 02 DRG (German State Railways) and the Class 13 (Prussian S5.2) in both DRG and KPEV (Royal Prussian Railway) liveries. These models will feature the operating "reversing mechanism" developed in 2007.

The previously released Class 01, 44 and 96 will appear in different versions adding to Dingler's 2008 exciting line-up. A small manufacturer formerly owned by Mr Pein, which Mr. Dingler recently acquired, produced these high quality models. The high regard to craftsmanship, level of detailing, design and quality will continue under the Dingler GmbH management. All the new models will feature the ZIMO developed MX690 Sound Decoder with multi-protocol functions (DCC and Marklin Motorola).

The introduction of a new "Field Railway" (Feldbahn) steam locomotive for Gauge 1f (scale 1:32) is in the works. The Class 99-3462 will appear in the DR (East German Railways) and the MPSB (Mecklenburg-Pomerania-Narrow Gauge Railway) liveries. A 2-axle, high side and low side, gondola will compliment the field railway series.

We will see the introduction of the Wuerttemberg class passenger wagon in several liveries for 2008. The liveries include the Di, Pwi in the K.W.ST.E (Royal Wuerttemberg State Railways), Ci, Di, Pwi in the DRG, Bi, Pwi in the DB (German Federal Railways) and Bi, Pwi in the ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways). These wagons will be built according to the well-known standards set by Dingler GmbH.

The new versions for the Class V65 diesel locomotive in DB and other private railways were displayed as well, but the items were not priced at the time of our visit. The Dingler craftsmanship and detail is all there with an added touch. When you open the motor covers, the model features a complete scale replica of the MaK diesel motor.
